ABOUT ME

I was a decade-long IT Professional who left my Technology career to pursue my dream and passion for Photography.

The year was 2008, I bought my first camera out of curiosity and in desperate need for a new hobby. Little that I know, it became the second most important day of my life: The day I found my purpose. (So which is the first most important day, you may ask? The day that I was born!).

Coincidentally, I am the Third-Generation photographer of my family. Even my Dad met my Mom while he was an apprentice at my Grandpa’s Studio.

Since then, I have continuously learned and worked with other well-respected photographers in the industry to craft my own style. As a true lover of journalism and appreciation for each moment with a story as well as modern contemporary fine-art, I convey that through everything that I photograph from Weddings, Family photos, Engagement photos, Maternity shoots, and Live Concerts.

People often say I am happiest when I take photos and they are right! There is nothing more fulfilling to me than to get that creative, unique money-shot photo that my clients are in love with. It’s a feeling like no other. In person, I am a bit shy at first, optimistic, adventurous and foolishly romantic.

Outside of my profession, I love to travel and have been living abroad for several years now. I am currently in Scotland and spend a lot of time back home in Toronto, Canada as well. I love to cook for family & friends, listen to self development and photography podcasts while editing photos, and most importantly, be with my wife.

My most wild dream is to photograph weddings in every country and so far I have 11 countries, including Greece, Italy, the UK, France, Mexico, Canada and more. I am looking forward to growing that number so please don’t hesitate to reach out and I will make my way to your corner of the world! Together we will make your dream come alive through your photography.

Till we meet! Cheers!

Sincerely,

Cuong Tran
